The Institute of Culture of Yucatan, through General Branch Literature Publishing and Promotion of the Cultural Institute of Yucatan, is pleased to present Literary Yucatan, a new space to spread literary creation and encouraging the habit of reading in the State.

Yucatan Literary aims at the dissemination and propagation of the literary productions of Yucatan authors to a wider audience, encouraging further Yucatecan literature that have another option to benefit from technological advances in order to reach audiences in other regions of the world.

The site contains a virtual anthology of writers of the XIX, XX and XXI, which involves a representative selection of authors and their works with an area of \u200b\u200bopen dissemination unpublished writers.

The site also has information related to new books, recent publications, notices, awards and workshops organized by the Institute of Culture of Yucatan and various magazine articles White Road .

The goal is to, without restriction of space, all literary productions performed in Yucatan, as part of the Bicentennial of Independence and Centennial Revolution, promote the strengthening of local identity.

The purpose of the proposal aims to raise awareness and provide locally relevant information on literature, not only the public interested in literature, but also to educational institutions in middle and senior level to enable include the study of texts originating in the supplementary material Yucatanense culture and free curriculum.

This proposal is an initiative of Ms. Paz Nóblega Homes, Cordoba, Argentina, who years earlier made a similar work called "Córdoba Literature" for the Government of Province of Cordoba. This project is also meant to twin both regions from the literature.

Finally, is important to acknowledge the continuing support of those who have provided material for this site possible, as Dr. Ruben Reyes Ramirez, MSc. Peniche Barrera Roldan, Mr. Gaspar Gómez Chacón, MSc. Roger Campos Munguia, among others, as well as Public Library Central State "Manuel Cepeda Peraza, Central Library of abattoir and all working together to that this project will be enriched and possible.
